About the Washington State Student Bill of Rights

The Washington State Student Bill of Rights is a petition, written for students, by students. Its goal is to build grassroots, youth-centered support for education issues that will get every student Ready for Life.

Ready for Life means every high school graduate has the opportunity to complete college and/or job training, attain a living-wage job and succeed in life.

The League of Education Voters worked with a group of students in the summer of 2009 to draft and revise the Student Bill of Rights–a document declaring rights that ALL students are entitled to.  LEV is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that advocates for education reform in Washington State, from birth through college.
