Each year, LEV works to improve Washington’s public education system through the legislative and electoral process. We are active in Olympia during the legislative session and in elections that will impact education. Below is an archive of our past work.

Ballot Measures

LEV has sponsored two statewide initiatives to the people and supported a constitutional amendment, which required approval by voters.

• Initiative 728 (2000)
• I-884: Education Trust Fund Initiative (2004)
• Simple Majority for School Levies (2007)

LEV has also taken positions on various ballot measures that could impact public education.  Below is more information on the most recent measures:
