In the coming weeks, we'll be asking Washington state residents to tell us about their pay for college.
There are bills in the Legislature that would help - and your representatives need to hear why they would matter.
Here are some ideas to get you thinking:
- I want to go to college, and there is no way I can afford it. My older brother has thousands of dollars in debt. Should I go?
- I'm a young professional who is deep in debt - and I can't find a job.
- I want nothing more than to go to graduate school - but I just can't afford it.
- I'm a sophomore, and I just don't see how I'm going to be able to finish my degree - especially with these tuition raises.
- I'm a parent, and I took out a Parent PLUS loan, and I don't know how I'm going to pay this off.
- I graduated from college and took the one job I was qualified for. Because of my loans, I can't leave, and I hate my job.
