   This is the same Seattle Times that, the very next day, attributed mixed results on student test scores to changes in the tests which will take teachers and students several years to get used to, new standards in math that will also require years for adjustment, and cutbacks in education programs. So, according to the Seattle Times, this year’s tests don’t reflect the teachers’ work. So the Times would have to agree that it would be inappropriate to use the test scores – for 2010 and for several years to come – as a measure of teacher effectiveness since these other factors significantly affected them.
